Cenap Asci, undersecretary of Ministry of Customs and Trade of Turkey and his delegation met and negotiated with Masoud Karbasian , president of Iran Customs in Tehran. Based on the report of the public relations office of Iran customs, this meeting aimed at removing the customs obstacles between the two countries in order to boost trade to 30 billion dollars, integrating cross-border trade single window and implementation of phase 2 of e-TIR .During the meeting Masoud Karbasian the president of Iran customs stressed on the statements of the two countries’ presidents to expand the current trade ties and boost it to 30 billion dollars which has tightened the responsibilities of customs administrations for facilitating the trade between the two countries.Karbasian further referred to the successful implementation of pilot e-TIR in Iran and Turkey for the first time in the world and expressed hope for the second phase of the project to be successfully implemented soon.Based on this repo

In order to facilitate the trade and exchange of goods , a Memorandum of Understanding on Customs Green Corridor was signed by the heads of Customs Administrations of Iran and Russia. Based on the report of the public relations office of Iran Customs, Dr. Masoud Karbasian, President of Iran Customs and Andrey Belianinov, Head of Russian Federation Customs signed a MOU aimed at facilitating and accelerating the customs procedures, boosting the volume of goods transportation between the two countries, expanding customs cooperation mainly at electronic exchange of Information and developing customs controls.The pilot project will be done for a duration of 6 months and after successful implementation , the 2 sides will exchange information regularly.Moreover the heads of customs of Iran and Russia signed a bilateral agreement on administrative cooperation in customs affairs. Based on the report of the public relations office of Iran customs, during the mentioned period, 18 million and 118 thousand tons of goods worthy of 6 billion and 859 million dollars were exported from the country which decreased by 1.48 percent in weight and 14.68 percent in value compared to the figures of the previous year.Based on this report, 4 million and 560 thousand tons of goods worthy of 5 billion and 497 million dollars were imported into the country showing fall of 18.85 percent in weight and 13.54 percent in value in comparison. During the period under consideration, gas condensates with value of 1 billion and 88 million dollars, petroleum gases and liquefied hydrocarbon gases with value of 272 million dollars, products of iron or non alloy steel with 247 million dollars, liquefied propane with 237 million dollars and bitumen with 201 million dollars were the main export items.
